Privacy First

Uinak is designed with privacy as a core value. All audio processing happens on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio data.

Microphone Access

Uinak uses your device's microphone to analyze ambient sounds during sleep tracking. The microphone detects sleep stages (awake, light sleep, deep sleep, REM) and events like snoring.

Privacy Protection:

Audio is never recorded or saved
All processing happens on-device in real-time
No audio is transmitted to any server
Only analysis results (sleep stages, event timestamps) are saved locally

Data Storage

Your sleep data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not use cloud storage or external databases.

Apple Health Integration

With your permission, Uinak can write sleep data to Apple Health and read heart rate variability. This integration uses Apple's HealthKit framework and follows Apple's privacy policies.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only transaction verification status. We do not collect payment information, credit card details, or billing addresses.

Third-Party Services

Uinak uses only Apple's native frameworks:

Apple HealthKit (optional)
Apple StoreKit (for purchases)
Apple UserNotifications (for alarms)

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting, or external AI services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Your sleep data remains private and stays on your device. Data is only shared with Apple Health if you explicitly enable this feature.

Your Rights

Access: View all your sleep data within the app
Delete: Remove sessions or delete the app to remove all data
Control: Revoke microphone or HealthKit permissions in iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

Uinak is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
